Mode of Preparation :Leaves boiled with water for extract. Leaves boiled for local application. Seed crushed with fresh tea-leaf and sugar candy for consumption. Occasionally cultivated as hedge plant due to non-palatable to grazing livestock.
Mode of use :Decoction and Local Application
Ingredients :Ethanol extract of the plant contains the compound that shows active effect on smooth muscle contraction (on Rabbit jejunal smooth muscle).
Ailment Treated:Leaf decoction/ paste is applied on fore-head in dizziness. Boiled leaf is used as bandage in muscular sprain. Seed paste with fresh tea-leaf and sugar candy is taken to cure dysentery.
Source:Generally grown in the wild habitat in valley areas prominently in moist shady places.
