Mode of Preparation :Fresh leaf crushed with water for paste. Unripe fruit crushed for decoction.

Ingredients :Bark contains tannin and yields fibre. Fruit contains 15, 16- tetrahydrovirescinoside.
Ailment Treated:Unripe fruit decoction along with little common salt is taken in dysentery. Fresh bark is chewed in dysentery and intestinal worm infection. Leaves are used to wrap the boiled soya bean as source of bacteria in soya bean fermentation. Leaves are used in ring worms. Bark, fruit and seeds are emetic, purgative and promote secretion of milk. Latex is used in boils.
Source:Generally grown in wild habitat but occasionally cultivated.
