Ingredients :Plant contains nymphaeine and nymphalin.
Ailment Treated:The rhizome is cooling, sweet, bitter, tonic and useful in diarrhoea, dysentery and general debility. The flowers are astringent and cardiotonic. The seeds are cooling, constipating, aphrodisiac, stomachic and restorative. Powdered root stocks are used in piles, dysentery and dyspepsia. Petiole paste along with little common salt, seed powder of ‘Cuminum cyminum’, butter and few drops of honey is used in excessive menstrual discharge.
