Mode of Preparation :Immature fruit is cut for latex. Root boiled with fruit powder of Piper longum for soup. Root crushed for paste.

Ingredients :Seed and root contain cardiotonic glucosides; thevetin, 2-oacetyl cerebrocide, neriifolin, cereberin, peruvoside, theveneriin and peruvonsidic acid.
Ailment Treated:Immature fruit latex is applied against skin diseases. Boiled root preparation (soup) is good for regular menstrual flow. Root paste is applicable to tumours. The cardiac glycosides obtained from the kernals, bark and flowers are useful for heart diseases.
