Mode of Preparation :Unripe fruit pulp is crushed for paste. Ripe fruit pulp is mixed with sugar for consumption. Bark is soaked in cold water for infusion. Dried leaves burned for fumigation. Fruits edible; leaf used in certain religious ceremonies like child birth.

Ingredients :Fruits are rich in Carotene, Vitamin C, Riboflavin. Bark contains Mangiferine. Leaves contain Amino acids, Tannin, Gallotaxin & Gallic acid.
Ailment Treated:Fruit pulp is given in haemorrhoids of uterus, lungs and intestine. It is also nutritive, laxative and diuretic. Unripe fruit pulp paste is used for skin diseases. Bark infusion is effective in nasal catarrh. Fumes from burning leaves, inhaled in cases of throat infection and hiccups.
