Mode of Preparation :Leaves cooked for consumption. Decoction is prepared by simmering the leafy part of the plant in suitable amount of water. Young plants are edible. Boiled the plant for soup. Aerial part is cooked-eaten.

Ingredients :Plant yields an essential oil. Plant is rich in iron, amino acids like leucine, isoleucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, valine and tryptophan are also reported.
Ailment Treated:Decoction of leaf is recommended for leucoderma and liver enlargement treatment. Cooked plant is a good laxative and anthelmintic. Leaf decoction is stimulant to spleen disorders.
