Ingredients :The bark yields tanin. Seeds yield crude protein, calcium, phosphorous, iron, niacin and assorbic acid. The flowers contains lupeol, a- and b-amyrin.
Ailment Treated:Bark powder is anthelmintic, astringent, cooling, skin diseases, diabetes, burning sensation, leprosy and inverterate ulcers. Leaves cooked in ghee and is used as a remedy for cough. Leaf extract is applied in cutaneous infections.
Source:Generally grown wild in both hills and valley areas. Occasionally cultivated.
