Mode of Preparation :Unripe fruit is crushed for decoction or for solid consumption. Leaves crushed & squeezed for juice. Root cooked for solid consumption. Fruit eaten as vegetable; tender shoot is fried & eaten.

Ingredients :Unripe fruit is rich in Calcium, Phosphorus, Riboflavin. Roots are a source of starch.
Ailment Treated:Boiled fruit or fruit decoction, if eaten regularly helps in ossification of bones, teeth formation, regulates function of nerves, heart and muscles. Leaf juice shows transient depressor effect. Cooked root is eaten as a substitute of arrow-root starch.
