Mode of Preparation :Leaves crushed for paste. Leaves crushed & squeezed for juice. Leaves and flowers soaked in water for infusion. Flowers crushed for decoction.

Ingredients :The whole plant contains essential oil (d-Limonene, Ocimene, 1-Linahyl acetate, I-Linalool, Tagetone and Nonanal) (0.06%). Flowers and dried petal contain quercetagin, quercetagetin-7-glucoside and carotenoids.
Ailment Treated:Leafy shoot paste is applied in skin diseases. Leaf paste along with bark powder of saraca asoca is taken for regular menstrual flow. Leaf extract is good for minor injuries & kidney trouble. Leaves and flower infusion prescribed as a carminative, diuretic and vermifuge. Flower decoction is used for muscle pain, colds, bronchitis, ulcer, eye disease and disease of the uterus.
