Mode of Preparation :Leaves crushed and squeezed for juice. Seeds crushed and soaked in water for infusion or seeds are crushed for decoction. Root crushed for paste.

Ingredients :Root and bark contain Plumbagin, 1,4-naphthaquinones, naphthalenones, flavonoids, aromatic hdroxy acid and sitosterol are reported.
Ailment Treated:Leaf extract is given in chronic fever and in muscular sprain. Seed infusion is taken in stomach ulcer. Seed decoction is given for relief in muscular pains and for easy digestion. Root paste, applied for opening abscesses.
