Mode of Preparation :Dried seeds crushed with water for paste preparation. Seeds are used for ritual purpose. Seed oil is a very good for hairs.

Ingredients :Seeds yield a quick-drying oil. Stalks are the source of flax. Oil cake used as a protien supplement for livestock. Seeds are fairly rich in thiamine and niacin. A flavonoid glucoside pedalin isolated from leaves.
Ailment Treated:Dried seeds are demulcent, applied on wound as poultice in rheumatism and gout and given in gonorrhoea, genito-urinary diseases etc. Leaves and bark-efficacious in gonorrhoea.
