Ingredients :A new     5,6-dihydro-7-pyrone-6(7,8-dihydro-7,8-dihydroxystyryl)-5,6-dihydro-5-hydroxy-2-pyrone isolated from leaves and twigs along with 6-(7,8-dihydroxystryl)-5,6-dihydro-2-pyrone and goniopedaline isolated from leaves and twigs and characterised as 10-amino-3-hydroxy-2,4-dimethoxyphenan threne-1-carboxylic acid lactam; aristololactum acetate, b-sitosterol and its glucoside also isolated.
Ailment Treated:Leaf extract is given during delivery for purification of bloods. Plant fume is used as an insecticide and was given in small pox. Leaf boiled soup is used to take bath for new born child.
Source:Grown wildly in hilly regions of Manipur. Found sold in the local markets.
