Mode of Preparation :Fresh leaves wrapped in cloth are warmed on steam. Fresh leaves crushed for extract. Leafy shoot boiled for hair lotion preparation. Fresh leaves boiled for steaming. Leaf used as an ingredient in the preparation of traditional hair lotion called as “Chenghi” to kill lice.
Mode of use :Decoction
Ingredients :Extract of tender leaves produces opium like effect.
Ailment Treated:Fresh leaf decoction is used in piles (Steaming the anus). Young leaves are narcotic. Bark is used for stomach pain and intestinal worms. Effective in dizziness, hoarseness and regulation of blood circulation.
Source:Occasionally cultivated in home gardens. Grown wild in the valley areas.
