Ingredients :Whole plant contains an essential oil consisting of perilla-aldehyde, limonene, a pinene and dihydrocumine. The seeds yield a fatty oil, containing oleic, linoleic acids and amino acids. Perillene, perillaketone, egomaketone and isoegomaketone also isolated from the aerial parts.
Ailment Treated:The decoction of fresh leaf is used as perfume. Paste of shoot is applied to wounds. Decoction of the whole plant used in influenza, corhyza and headache. The fruit is effective against cough.
