Mode of Preparation :Leaves crushed & squeezed for juice. Leaves boiled with small fishes (Puntius phutunio) for decoction. Wood cut into pieces & crushed for powder use. Seed kernels crushed for oil extraction. Flower/seeds crushed for decoction.

Ingredients :Wood contains in its cavities white crystalline deposit of calcium phosphate, silica and ammonium and magnesium phosphate and resin. Seed contains a fatty oil. Leaves contain tannin.
Ailment Treated:Leaf extract is prescribed in hysteria. Leaf decoction with small fishes ( Puntius phutunio) is useful in normal blood circulation. Wood powder plaster is used for headaches and for swellings of stomach. Kernel oil is used in scabies and also to promote growth of hairs. Flower/ seed decoction is diuretic. Bark is astringent and used in bronchitis.
