Mode of Preparation :Root bark simmered for decoction. Young leaves cooked for consumption. Root crushed for paste application. Tender pods cooked for consumption. Seeds crushed for oil. Fruit is edible.

Ingredients :Pods are rich in Luecine. Leaves are rich in vitamin A & C. Root bark contains two alkaloids like, Moringine and Moringinine. Seeds yield an oil which is composed of oleine, margarine and stearine. Root contains antibiotic properties.
Ailment Treated:Root bark decoction is good for urine flow, used to foment inflamed parts. Cooked young leaves given to fight scurvy. Root paste mixed with Common salt is good for local application on swellings, rheumatic joints and paralytic parts. Cooked tender pods are good for liver and spleen problems. Seeds oil is good, for local application on gout and rheumatic joints.
