Ingredients :Roots are aromatic and contain tannin, fatty acids and white crystalline substance. Root bark contain mannitol and myristic acid. A yellow colouring mater related to quercitin, an astringent, a wax and neutral crystalline substance have been reported from the flowers.
Ailment Treated:Roots are stomachic, sedative, astringent, febrifuse and acrid. Leaf extract is given in dysentery. Bark powder is applied to sores, burns and injuries. Flower are sweet, carminative, digestive and constipating. Flower extract is used as an eye lotion.
