Ingredients :Fresh plant yields scoparone, melanettin, quercetin and hyperoside. Several soluble phenolic compounds are also present. The pattern of phenolics has been found to be stable irrespective of the host plants.
Ailment Treated:Plant decoction is given in chronic fevers and jaundice. Seeds are purgative, carminative, anthelmintic. Plant extract is used in flatulence and liver complaints. Plant decoction is used to bath against skin infections.
Source:Grown wildly in valley and low altitude hills prominently on fencing and sedge dominating the host plant.
