Ingredients :Seeds contain a fatty oil. Ethanolic extract showed antihypertensive effect on renal hypertensive rats, kaempferol, methyl caffeate, quercetin, quercein-3-b-D-glucoronide methyle ester, peoumaric, caffeic, ferulic, vanillic, betulic, ursolic, protocatechuic, 3,3,4,4-tetramethyleellagic and 3,3-dimethylellagic acids and betulin are the major constituents.
Ailment Treated:Herb is emollient, used as poultice on tumours. Hot fomented plant is applied on wounds and injuries.
