Parts Used :Seed, Bark and Stem
Mode of Preparation :Bark boiled for extract. Dried seed ground into powder. Seeds are used to play a traditional game called as “Kang”.
Mode of use :Decoction
Ingredients :Seeds contain b-sitosterol, a-amyrin, quercetin, gallic acid, cyanidin chloride. Prosapagenin A, b-sitosterol, myristic, palmitic, stearic, arachidic, behenic, oleic, linoleic acids.
Ailment Treated:Bark decoction is used in stomach ulcers. Seed are used as tonic, emetic, and anthelmintic. Stem, bark and seeds are used as soap substitutes. Seed powder is used in fever and headache.
Source:Wildly cultivated in the hilly areas.
