Mode of Preparation :Bark is cut and soaked in water for infusion. Bark/leaf is crushed for decoction.

Ingredients :Flowers yield an essential oil. Bark contains sapogenins, cadambagenic acid and quinovic acid, b-sitosterol and four saponins like saponins A, B, C & D. Bark contains steroids, alkaloids, fats, etc.
Ailment Treated:Bark infusion is taken in sexual weakness. Bark decoction is tonic and febrifuge. Leaf decoction is good for ulcers, wounds and menrorrhea. Fruits are useful in gastritis and fever.
