Mode of Preparation :Leaves, roots/fruits crushed with water for extract. Cultivated as pot plant or in gardens.

Ingredients :The leaves and fruit contain flucosides, tannin, essential oil, pectin, b-sitosterol, a-mannitol and nonacosane
Ailment Treated:The leaves and fruits possess antibacterial, jaundice, emetic, demulcent and diuretic properties. Root used in dyspepsia and nervous disorders. Flowers contain an essential oil. Flowers are insect repellant. Leaf extract is used in leucoderma. A poultice of pounded fresh leaves is effective for wounds and acute conjunctivitis.
