Mode of Preparation :Leaves dried for paste preparation. Fresh leaves crushed for paste. Leaves crushed & smashed for juice & their juice is boiled in milk for decoction use. Dried shoots crushed into powder and mixed with sugar & powder of black pepper. Dried shoot smokes.

Ingredients :Plant contains chemical components like tetra-hydrocannabinol, cannabidiol, cannabinol, cannabichromene, cannabicitran, etc. Plant yields an essential oil called cannabin. Seed contains hemp seed oil.
Ailment Treated:Leaf paste is used as narcotic. Leaf extract in milk is good for healing, digestion and astringent. Dried leaf powder with sugar and black pepper is highly beneficial in dysentery.
