Mode of Preparation :Leafy plant shoot crushed for paste. Leafy shoot crushed and smashed for juice. This juice is mixed with honey for fresh consumption. Roots boiled for extract. Used as a very good fodder and also used in certain religious ceremonies.
Mode of use :Decoction, Fresh and Local Application
Ingredients :Glycosides, saponins, flavonoids and carbohydrates are reported in the plant.
Ailment Treated:Fresh plant juice/paste is good for local application on fresh cuts and injuries to stop bleeding. Root decoction is given in dropsy and secondary syphilis. Plant juice mixed with honey is given in diabetes. Rhizome is used in urinary disorder.
