Ingredients :The plant contains a volatile oil and triterpenoid saponins. Ascaridol is a powerful worm expellent. Triterpene glucosides – chenopodosides A and B isolated; oil contained high contentof ascaridole along with xylene isomers, p-cymene, an alcohol and four carboxylic acids; essential oil contained major contituent (-) pincarveol and (+) a-pinene and ascaridiole.
Ailment Treated:Essential oil from the plant is used against gout and skin diseases. Leaf paste is used in antispasmodic properties, muscle relaxing action, spasmodic, cough and asthma.
