Mode of Preparation :Dried leaves ground into powder. Leaves crushed with water for juice .

Ingredients :Globulins are major storage proteins in the seed and contains cajanin and concajanin. The seeds contain two a-galactosidase, 3-b-galactosidase iso-enzymes, 3-l-arabinosidase and nicotinamide deamidase.
Ailment Treated:Leaves are astringent, diuretic, laxative and anti-inflammatory. Seeds are sweet, cooling, anthelmintic, febrifuge and expectorant. The fresh juice of the leaves is taken to treat liver enlargement. Dry leaves powder are used as tooth powder to cure gum complaints. Seeds are also used in snake-bite. Fresh juice of leaves are used in enlarged liver.
